The Robert Biale Vineyards 2023 vintage is a lineup that honors tradition and the preservation of heritage vineyard Zinfandels and Petite Sirahs. We have also created a few other delicious wines to pay homage to our Italian heritage.
As we reflect on the 2023 growing season, it’s impossible not to feel both grateful and a bit in awe of what Mother Nature handed us this year. 2023 was, by all measures, a pristine growing season. But let’s not forget, even a standout year has its fair share of challenges. A New Year’s Eve tradition for Italians is to eat pork sausage and lentils for happiness, well-being, and good fortune. Instead of sausage, Bob prefers a porchetta pork roast and, as a nod to my family tradition hailing from my stepfather’s Tennessee roots, black-eyed peas instead of lentils. The good luck doesn’t seem to have waned for the substitutions.
