Biale has jumped in and embraced this new world, where Zoom reigns king and has become the new social media. In the time where the Biale team is not able to welcome all our favorite people to the winery, we have been enjoying getting to know more of you virtually and staying connected! Seeing your pictures of memories shared over Biale wines sure does pull at our heart strings. We wanted to take a moment to share all the good that has come out of #SiP (aka Shelter in Place) and how we will continue to bring Napa to you!
Facebook Live—There is no “Take 2”
Beginning in March we started virtual Happy Hours over Facebook Live. Every Friday at 3:30 PST we go live. There is always new wine, topics, and hosts. We have had topics ranging from a tasting of a newly released wine to “How to Make the Ultimate Burger” on the grill. We like to have fun here at Biale, and all the members of our team have unique qualities and personalities. These live tastings were designed to be fun and entertaining—a way to kick start your weekend and celebrate the week. We will have to start limiting these Happy Hours as we welcome back guests to the “back porch,” but will still finds ways to bring Napa to you at home!
Virtual Private Tastings—Tom Skinner Finding His New Passion
Our amazing tasting room wine connoisseurs have been hosting private virtual tastings. How do you introduce and boil Biale down into 3 wines? It is not an easy feat, but we have put together a tasting pack that embraces the story of the Black Chicken, showcasing a historic single-vineyard Zinfandel, and our other wine crush—Petite Sirah. The virtual tasting packs are $150, which includes the following three wines: 2018 Black Chicken Zinfandel, 2018 Varozza Vineyard Zinfandel, and 2017 Royal Punishers Petite Sirah. This is your chance to sip and learn in the comfort of your home as Tom Skinner guides you through our history, story, and overall passion to preserve Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. We are always happy to help with food pairing options to really make an evening of your tasting!
Virtual Dinners—Who Knew Our Homes Could Host Multi-Course Dinners
Wine along with food has always been important to the Biale family.
Many memories have been shared over a bottle (or jug in their case) of Zinfandel and a plate of Clementina Biale’s Piedmontese Sugo Di Pomodoro. Since we cannot personally travel to host guests for dinner, we have been given the opportunity to pair up with restaurants around the country to host a virtual wine dinner. The restaurant curates a multi-course meal paired with Biale wines that the customer is able to pick up and enjoy at home. We all then jump on our new favorite platform—Zoom and enjoy an in depth tasting of the Biale wines while enjoying the delicious meal. This is an opportunity for guests to really interact with Owner, Bob Biale and Winemaker, Tres Goetting while enjoying a meal with friends & family!
