Originally from Pennsylvania, John has been a hospitality professional for almost 40 years. He has spent the last 25 years and counting, working in Napa Valley. John was the Sommelier & Manager at Domaine Chandon’s restaurant in Yountville, and the Director of Wine Education at Shafer Vineyards in Stags Leap District.
Today, John now works at Biale as a part-time Wine Educator and enjoys hosting guests and exchanging views on the local wines, Napa’s culinary scene, and California’s grape-growing history. He is always a firm believer in the anonymous quote that “every wine needs a friend”.
