Alex Biale’s connection to Robert Biale Vineyards began not in a boardroom, but in the dirt. Growing up in downtown Napa, Alex spent his formative years working alongside his father Robert and his grandfather Aldo in the vineyards — learning the land, driving tractors, and developing a relationship with old vine farming that no classroom could replicate. Aldo’s Vineyard, planted in 1937, holds a particular place for him. He grew up in those rows, and the sense of responsibility he feels toward preserving that block — and what it represents — is as personal as it gets.
After studying philosophy at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Alex built a 15-year career in business operations and growth at high-growth companies, eventually co-founding Domestique in 2021 with Rhys Williams. Today Domestique works with over 300 B2B companies and has grown to a team of 60. In 2022, Alex joined the Robert Biale Vineyards Board of Advisors, bringing that operational and commercial lens to the family business. As of January 2026, he has stepped in formally as Director of Marketing.
The decision to move back was both personal and deliberate. When Alex and his wife Mallory welcomed their daughter Hazel in April 2025, something crystallized. They returned to live on the vineyard property with a clear sense of purpose: the fourth generation is here, and Robert Biale Vineyards is not going anywhere. Robert remains fully at the helm, and Alex is the first to say his father has earned every bit of that continuity. What Alex brings now is his presence, his commercial expertise, and a long-term commitment to the wines, the land, and the legacy his family has spent generations building.
